Why we chose

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Co-owner of The Muscle Movement

In 2017, my journey with St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital began with my first participation in St. Jude’s run/walk in Boston. The incredible work of the hospital deeply resonated with me, sparking a commitment to contribute in any way possible.

In December 2018, I embarked on a trip to Memphis, TN, where I not only participated in their major marathon weekend but also had the privilege of visiting St. Jude's Research Hospital. The state-of-the-art facility and the dedicated staff left me in awe, making me committed to actively supporting the cause.

Upon returning home, I teamed up with The Muscle Movement, and together we initiated fundraising efforts and awareness campaigns. Our collective dedication manifested in the Annual Muscle Movement Toy Drive, now our flagship event. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and donors, we have not only collected thousands of children’s toys for local families but also contributed over $32,000 to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Another significant event, Cars For A Cause, has gained substantial traction. This event, celebrated by automobile enthusiasts of all eras, saw over 300 participants at North End Motors in Canton, MA. With local DJs and food truck vendors enhancing the experience, the event proved to be a thrilling success, allowing us to present another substantial contribution to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

While many are familiar with St. Jude’s Research Hospital, it's crucial to highlight lesser-known aspects.

DID YOU KNOW..?

  • Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food.

  • They are headquartered in Memphis, TN, and also treat children from around the world.

  • The name comes from Saint Jude Thaddeus, the patron saint of hopeless causes.

  • $.82 of each dollar raised goes directly to the hospital for the families and research. That is one of the highest percentages of any major organization.
